Chabad of North Seattle opened in 2021 with a simple goal: to create a space where Jewish life could grow and flourish in North Seattle. At the time, there were few opportunities for connection or Jewish expression in this part of the city. With time, energy, and heart, that began to change. Through Shabbat dinners, holiday events, children’s programs, adult learning, and acts of kindness, a warm and connected community has taken root.

As our programs have grown, so too has the need for a dedicated, permanent home — a space designed for gathering, learning, and celebration; a home where Jewish life can continue to thrive and expand.

Recently, an extraordinary opportunity arose: a 6,500-square-foot commercial building in a central, accessible location that can become the future home of the Chabad Jewish Center of North Seattle. The space is currently a warehouse, offering an open canvas to design a welcoming and inspiring Jewish center for our community.

The project will unfold in two phases:
• Phase One focuses on purchasing the property and completing essential renovations — transforming the warehouse into safe, usable, and inviting spaces for immediate use. This first phase represents a $460,000 campaign.
• Phase Two will complete the vision, with further renovations and enhancements such as a commercial kitchen, expanded educational areas, and design elements that will turn the space into a fully realized Jewish Community Center — a true home for Jewish life in North Seattle.

A permanent center will allow Jewish life here to flourish on an entirely new level — a place where children will grow with a sense of pride, adults will connect through learning and community, and every Jewish person in the area will know they have a place to belong.

This vision will only become a reality through the collective effort and generosity of our community. Every brick, every classroom, every moment of joy shared within these walls will be built by those who believe in the importance of Jewish life in North Seattle.
